In this post, we will explore how to upload a custom slack emoji!

A really important fact to know before we jump into this is that your emoji file should be smaller than 128kb for best results and should have a transparent background.

How to add a custom emoji to your slack workspace

Now that we have created our first emoji, it’s time to upload it to slack!

1. Open slack. (I’m using the desktop app)
2. At the bottom of the app is the message area. Click the button with the smiley face — this will open the emoji menu.
